Asa Leininger
Playwright
Asa Leininger is an actor, writer, and educator who holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Theatre and History from Missouri State University. He is passionate about using art as a space to encourage ethical development and self-introspection, as well as to spark meaningful debates and dialogues.
Asa is a theatrician seeking to investigate the fullest potential of the medium of theatre. “In other words,” Asa said, “I seek to create theatre that goes beyond simply being entertaining and instead offers spectators an opportunity to confront the sometimes harsh and sometimes absurd realities of humanity in a meaningful way.”
Derrick DeVonne King

A native of Oklahoma, Derrick DeVonne King has been a resident of Springfield since 2002. Since then he has managed to gain 65 productions under his belt in Springfield alone when combining all the shows he’s performed with Springfield Contemporary, Springfield Little, Branson, Rebel’s Guild, and The Actors Theatre of Missouri. His fave roles have been Horse in THE FULL MONTY, Jesus in GODSPELL, The King in THE KING AND I, Jim in BIG RIVER:THE TALES OF HUCKLEBERRY FINN, Tom Robinson in TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD, BROOKS in OF MICE AND MEN, Troy in FENCES and Collins in RENT. He has also choreographed EVITA, AVENUE Q, two productions of SWEENEY TODD and HANDS ON A HARDBODY at Springfield Contemporary Theatre. Derrick is a live in elder care worker. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Music and a Master’s degree of Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University.
Josh Yarham

Josh Yarham has been performing locally in Springfield since 2009. You may have seen him in such serial productions as Buffy the Vampire Slayer Staged Parodies from 2010-2017 (as Angel, Warren, Caleb, and various baddies), as the lead role in staged parodies of Batman from 2014-2018, and as the Grave Robber in Repo! The Genetic Opera shadow cast a couple times in the last few years, just to name a few. You can often find him bartending at the Alamo Drafthouse, when he’s not on stage!

Maceo Cortezz
As Jack
Maceo is excited to be back in town working with friends. He grew up in the Springfield community performing in dozens of productions at every theatre he could. He trained in London at the Mountview Academy where he received his bachelors in Acting in 2021. He was last seen in the UK Nat’l tour of Stephen Daldry’s An Inspector Calls from 2022-2023, prior to that he worked with the Exeter Theatre Northcott on development for new work. Favourite Springfield area credits include Claudio in Much Ado and Aaron in Titus Andronicus both with Actors Theatre of Missouri/Shakespeare at The Columns; and Romeo in Romeo and Juliet with Forte Theatre.
Samantha Henrizi

Samantha is excited to be a part of the DOTS Fringe Festival. They have worked with Actors Theater of Missouri numerous times, including: A Midsummer’s Night Dream (Titania), Twelfth Night (Viola), and Much Ado About Nothing (Beatrice). They have also worked with Springfield Contemporary Theater in their production of Hamlet vs Zombies (Ophelia) and A Servant of Two Masters (Beatrice). Sam’s Roman Empire is Sam Rockwell dancing to Simon Says by Pharoahe Monch in the 2000’s cinematic masterpiece Charlie’s Angels. Much love to their husband, Tyler and their metamour, Brita. Thank you for the endless support and help memorizing lines!
Meg Rice
Director
Meg Rice has directed on almost every stage in Springfield but this is her first fringe! She is a part of Actors Theatre of Missouri’s Shakespeare at the Columns and created the podcast series Radio Heyday. She is also a teacher, a mom, a grandmom and a costume designer. She is happy to be involved with DOTS first fringe! Caes the Day!!!
